Dr. McConnell is the first dentist I've ever had that doesn't make me dread a dentist appointment. He did a fantastic job on my dental implants. I also have better dental insurance through his office than I can get at my work. I recommend him as a dentist if your looking for one.

This was definitely an experience that I would suggest being very well informed on before proceeding with. The Center for Family and Implant Dentistry did a good job overall, I just wish I hadn't been so shocked at the amount of excruciating pain I was in after having the surgery on top for implants. It was comparable to having an organ removed is what an actual doctor told me- afterwards. I was not prepared for it and I didnt feel like the extent of the seriousness or side effects from the surgery was well enough explained to me prior to having it done. The second thing I would say is that my first set of provisional (temporary teeth immediately following surgery) were less than appealing as far as the way they looked. They were literally yellow. Which i was told was a malfunction or mistake made.by the machine that produces them and there was nothing that could be done about it. So on top of a whole lot of pain which didnt subside for a solid week, I also had teeth that looked worse than my natural teeth and I was not happy to show people which weren't replaced for 3 months. That was corrected with my second set of provisionals, however. I just have to be honest in my initial feelings about this surgery and it was not all positive. I didnt feel like I had any say in what my teeth were going to look like and for 51k and the amount of pain I was in, I was not happy. I have been told that I will have an opinion and say-so in the design of my permanent teeth which I go in August to have attached to the implants (which I had done towards the end of February). We also were told I could not have the bottom surgery even scheduled until we paid the second half of the $51,0000 which was $25,500. Considering we had to pay the remainder in February and I wont even be done with the process until technically August, it was a little hard to swallow the somewhat attitude.we received when being told I couldn't even schedule the bottom surgery until we paid it when we had just given them $25,500 in cash. So, that's the whole truth about this surgery at this location. I will say though, the doctor and nurses are all friendly. I guess it was the process that was a little aggravating. Take from it what you will. Just be very informed of every detail before you hand anyone $51k. I dont feel like my teeth look like they cost that much but I hope to be included in the process of what my final, permanent set will look like and hope to be blown away by how much better they look and fit in my mouth! Will update my review when the process is complete.

Honestly I think Dr. McConnel is quite talented and did a great job with the drill and preparing the teeth for crowns. The person (the Hygenist?) who injected the local anesthesia did the best job I ever experienced when getting work done that required it. I was surprised that the dentist, however, did not prep the temporary crowns and put them on. Whoever did it was assisting him and she was nice and did a decent job addressing contact points but they are too small and don’t reach the gum line right. I wish the Dr, McConnel would have come back and checked her work, so if she did need to do something else/different he could instruct her. The only other thing I noticed is the lady explaining the proposed treatment plan gave off an unsettling vibe of being unsure of herself and the process. She ended up coming off like she was giving me a hard sell to get it all done at once without offering options that fit better with my insurance benefits (breaking it up so part of it could be covered in the upcoming year’s benefits which will save me thousands of dollars!). The hygienist was top notch and did a great job. The gentleman doing the lab/milling portion of scanning to make the crowns was very professional and appeared confident in his part of the work as well. Will update when the crowns are seated 🙂

The staff and Dr was amazing. I'm terrified of the dentist and they were so great to make me feel at ease. Called that day and got me in with in an hour of calling them. Had to have two teeth extracted, I was amazed how fast they were. I was there a total of maybe two hours for everything. It's hard to find a dentist anymore that doesn't make you go somewhere else to have a tooth extracted. They truly are a full service dentist and wonderful people to meet all of my problems. From now on they will be the only place I will go to. Thank you to all of the staff for being so kind and going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.

Dr. Mac always uses the best care. My whole family sees him, and has seen him for the past 5 years. When my 5-year-old knocked out her two front teeth, he was my emergency call. He got her in immediately. She was scared and full of anxiety; refusing to sit in the chair. He was so adaptive to her needs that he examined her in the floor. My daughter is now 7, and I'm still bringing her to him for routine care and cleanings. Doc has earned his trust with her now by letting her pet his dogs. Doc Mac has done a great deal of work for me and my husband, as well. Never a complaint. Loves to crack jokes. Hygienists and assistants are skilled and friendly. They make sure you're calm and comfortable.

It is a huge relief to know that Dr. McConnell is a leader in his field and per his staff, a perfectionist, so I don't have to worry about things getting done as nice as possible. Dr. MacConnell is so kind, gentle, and knowledgeable. I had a tooth extracted after a terrible infection and TMJ problems. I had been to three different doctors (my dentist, MD, and ENT specialist) over a course of 24 months with no resolution of the pain. Finally tooth abscessed and I was referred to Dr. MacConnell by my husband. He did amazing. Even worked though lunch to remove my tooth. Great follow up appointment. He is going to make me a thin mouth guard to help with the TMJ. He is the first doctor to even mention a thin guard is possible as I have bad gag reflex and can’t use a big thick mouth guard. I am thankful to God in heaven that I may be getting some relief soon, Finally! Office staff was very nice also. Thanks so much. Mary Tolley😊

Dr. MacConnell and his staff met me after hours on a Sunday to extract the tooth and complete a bone graft to prepare for a future implant. I recently had to have my lower few remaining teeth removed and was very upset. Dr. MacConnell was very kind, he explained my options, and was very patient with me. He made sure I completely understood all of my choices. I decided to have the lower implants done with an overdenture. Boy am I thrilled! I am so happy with my new teeth and they fit great!! I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. MacConnell by a good friend who knew he would be able to help me. I woke up one morning with a very painful abcessed tooth and a very swollen face. I tried to see my regular dentist, but was told I would have to be referred to an oral surgeon for extraction and bone grafting for a future implant. When I tried to make an appointment, no one local could see me for weeks. One call to Dr. MacConnell's office was all it took to be scheduled within two days. He extracted my tooth and prescribed antibiotics and recommended bone grafting and a bit of gum surgery to pull my receded gumline back into proper position. I went with his recommendation and had all of this done in one visit. He was caring and professional and, from the comments made by my local dentist for a regular check up, did an excellent job with the bone grafting and gum surgery. I'll be ready for a strong, beautiful implant in January of 2018. Thank you to Dr. MacConnell and his wonderful staff!
